Texas History
Welcome,
This week we will talk about Texas as a Republic. Texas gains their independence from Mexico after the Battle of San Jacinto.
Monday –
Lecture on the
organizing of a New Government. Once Texas gains Independence from Mexico they
develop a new government.
Tuesday –
We will create our
own form of government as an activity.
Wednesday –
The students will work on an activity that
will further explain the form of government the Texans create.
Thursday –
Lecture on Lamar
as President.
Friday –
Activity on comparing and contrasting Lamar and Houston as Presidents.
