WELCOME TO TEXAS HISTORY, 

As January comes to an end, we must start to reflect. I have heard much of you complaining about school, but you must remember the words of Nelson Mandela, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". As I was reading your Martin Luther King's essay, I noticed a pattern of peace, gender equality, race equality, and helping the homeless. In order to accomplish this we must be educated and we should also educate those who we can reach. Complaining displays our lack of gratitude , greed, and blindness. We must embrace what we are being taught and implement it into our daily lives.

This week we will be having our Mini-Assessments on Tuesday. I will also begin on the discuss of the Texas Revolution.

This week we will be working on the events that led to the Texas Revolution and we should be finishing up to get started on the battles. Remember that attendance is crucial and that this six weeks will go by fast. Also, I will be assigning a project. I will let you know more about it once I have created a grading rubric.
